Los Otates was founded in January 1950 by Mrs. Sofía Insunza de Madero on Av. Lafayette, corner with Libertad. The main purpose was to offer the society of Guadalajara the rich traditional Mexican taquitos and snacks that could only be found in the markets. This is how LOS OTATES was born and they grew together with our grandparents and parents forming a great tradition in Guadalajara today with 4 generations of Tapatios.
